A NEW WAY TO GOOOH!!!

"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin." ~  Samuel Adams, 1776

And so, it appears, that time has come, when ordinary citizens must once again take their government back from "vain and aspiring men". Our current Congress is out of control, and has been for a number of years now. More and more programs that never end costing more and more money to do less and less seems to be the norm.

"Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle! Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did, and it never will. Find out just what people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either rods or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress." ~ Frederick Douglas

And now the "injustices and wrongs" being forced upon us "for our own good" are stealing our very freedoms, and adding to our burdens with taxes in the form of "fees" along with open tax assessments on everything we buy. We have been repeatedly warned of these coming events, but so many have turned a deaf ear in favor of "safety and security" that the current Congress is speeding up what has been a "gradual and silent encroachment" in the past.

"Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation." ~ James Madison

The government we have today is NOT what the Founding Fathers had in mind for us, and is, in fact, what they fought against in the first place.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." ~ Benjamin Franklin

"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn. You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves." ~ Abraham Lincoln

Yet now we have a President, whom many have compared to Lincoln, who stated during his campaign that he was in favor of "redistribution of wealth", and has encouraged Congress to pass legislation that does exactly that, along with doubling our National Deficit and accelerating our National Debt with "borrowed money". Exactly what Lincoln stated was the wrong way to think OR act as government. And Congress has not only complied with his requests, but initiated their own advanced forms of "pulling down the wage payer" and helping "men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves." Taking over banks and an automaker, forcing another to sell to a foreign company, interjecting itself into other private enterprises, and regulating still others to advance a theory that is so full of holes any thinker can see through it from a mile away, all at the expense of the American taxpayer.

"The fact throughout history is that whenever government dominates the economic affairs of its citizenry, a free society is eroded, then destroyed, and a minority government ensues. Personal liberty without economic liberty is an absolute contradiction; the one cannot exist without the other." ~ William E. Simon

This government is no longer of the people, by the people, or for the people. When was the last time someone with meager possessions and without a law degree was elected from amongst us to represent us in Washington D.C.? Are they of the people or is their election by the people? No. We are given choices from among those selected by political committees, usually based on their promise of special favors for those who select them. We don't get to have a say in their selection, only the chance to vote for those already selected. Are they for the people once they hit the floors of Congress? You certainly couldn't prove it by how they vote, or create legislation, or swap favors in voting. And then consider their personal health care, and retirement benefits. If all Americans were so lucky.

Are you tired of the away things are being done? Sick of the lack of representation? Well, guess what. Someone has come up with an idea that will change all that, hopefully forever if our nation is to survive. One Tim Cox of Liberty Hill, Texas has a plan, and a darned good one at that. By now you've figured out that the name of his plan is GOOOH, Get Out of Our House! And I strongly encourage you to give his plan a good listen and look at GOOOH.com.

"What is GOOOH? A non-partisan plan to replace the politicians. "

"Why should I join? Your country is calling."

"How will YOU vote? Complete the Candidate Questionnaire."

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through his sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from dependence back again into bondage." ~ Alexander Tytler (Penned over 200 years ago while the US was still a British Colony, in describing the fall of the Athenian Republic 2000 years prior).

Let's do all we can to prevent that history from repeating itself at the expense of our nation.

WAKE UP, AMERICA!!

WE'RE BEING SOLD DOWN THE RIVER!!

But I'm not going down without a fight!

"I shall exert every faculty I possess in aiding to prevent the Constitution from being nullified, destroyed, or impaired; and even though I should see it fail, I will still, with a voice feeble, perhaps, but earnest as ever issued from human lips, and with extinguish, call on the people to come to its rescue." ~ Daniel Webster

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks ... It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men." ~ Samuel Adams

"Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it political? Vanity asks the question: is it popular? But conscience asks the question: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor political, nor popular - but one must take it simply because it is right." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure." ~ Thomas Jefferson
