Obama's Non-Existent Middle East Plan

A Middle East Peace Accord between Israel and the Hamas leadership of Gaza seems highly unlikely, no matter who gets involved. Our less than illustrious leader appears to want peace in the area, or wants everyone to think he does. But the realities are far different from the public portrayal. Any thinking individual who wishes to broker a peace agreement would want to read the precepts on which any two disagreeing governments operate, find the things they agree on, and the things they don't. Proper protocol in such a position dictates that the "broker" use the agreeing sentiments to bring them to the table, accentuate those similarities to find a common ground on which to begin, then progress through the smaller differences to find solutions before the major problems are dealt with. The next step is to break down the major problems to their root causes. Once the major problems are broken down, they become easier to deal with, and thus resolution can be achieved. This is common sense to any trained negotiator or mediator worth his/her salt. No such thing is currently happening under this administration, nor do I expect to see it anytime soon.

We have all heard that Obama was assembling his "team", his cabinet, his minions, immediately after the election results were posted in an effort to be "ready to hit the ground running". So why isn't Hillary "running" to bring peace options to the table between Hamas and Israel? Isn't that what the "one" wants? Is it because they know it will never come to be? For all the flowery and glorious talk of bringing a new perspective to the world, and softening our worldwide image in the process, none of it is actually going to accomplish a thing except to make us appear more weak and susceptible to our enemies. Withdrawing our troops prematurely from Iraq, then Afghanistan, will place Iraqi's in danger of collapse of all they have gained to date, allow al Qaeda and their cousins Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah and all the other Muslim militants, to gain strength, and leave Israel to fend for themselves. Something they can do quite adequately, but nonetheless in a less than envious position. So why is it I feel this way?

Simple, back to the precepts under which any government operates, its charter, Constitution, doctrine, whatever title or name it is given. In this instance the Hamas Foundational Covenant under which Hamas rules Gaza. I quote a portion of Article Seven of that Covenant, "The Prophet, Allah's prayer and peace be upon him, says: "The hour of judgment shall not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them, so that the Jews hide behind trees and stones, and each tree and stone will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him,' except for the Gharqad tree, for it is the tree of the Jews." (Recorded in the Hadith collections of Bukhari and Muslim)." Does it sound like they want peace with Israel here? Or how about Article Thirteen, "From time to time there are calls to hold an international conference in order to seek a solution for the [Palestinian] problem. Some accept this [proposal] and some reject it, for one reason or another, demanding the fulfillment of some condition or conditions before they agree to hold the conference and participate in it. However, the Islamic Resistance Movement - since it is familiar with the parties participating in the conference and with their past and current positions on the issues of the Muslims - does not believe that these conferences can meet the demands or restore the rights [of the Palestinians], or bring equity to the oppressed. These conferences are nothing but a way to give the infidels power of arbitration over Muslim land, and when have the infidels ever been equitable towards the believers?" See any desire for peace there?

Let's continue in Article Thirteen, "There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are a waste of time and a farce. The Palestinian people is far too eminent to have its future, its rights and its destiny toyed with. As stated in the Hadith: "The people of Al-Sha'm are [Allah's] rod in His land. Through them, He wreaks vengeance on whomever He wishes among His servants. The hypocrites among them are not allowed to be superior to the believers among them, and they shall die in grief and distress." (Recorded by Al-Tabarani with a chain of transmitters to Muhammad, and by Ahmad [Ibn Hanbal] with an incomplete chain of transmitters to Muhammad which may be the accurate record, the transmitters in both cases being trustworthy - Allah alone is omniscient)."

Still not convinced that they don't want peace? Well, then, Article Fourteen, "The problem of liberating Palestine involves three circles: the Palestinian circle, the [pan-]Arab circle and the Islamic circle. Each of these three circles has its role in the struggle against Zionism and has its duties. It is a grave error and shameful ignorance to neglect any of these circles, for Palestine is an Islamic land. In it is the first of the two qiblas [directions of prayer] and the third most holy mosque, after the mosques of Mecca and Medina. It is the destination of the Prophet's nocturnal journey."

"Praise be to Him who carried His servant by night from the most sacred mosque to the farthest mosque whose surroundings We blessed, so as to show him Our signs. He is the One who is hearing and seeing." (Koran, 17:1)

"This being the case, the liberation [of Palestine] is a personal duty of every Muslim, wherever he be. It is on this basis that one should consider the problem, and every Muslim should understand this. When the day comes and the problem is treated on this basis, and all the capabilities of the three circles are mobilized - the current circumstances will change and the day of liberation will draw near." (Hmmm, "wherever he be"?)

"You strike more fear in the hearts of the Jews than does Allah, because they are people who do not understand." (Koran, 59:13)

Here is another excerpt, from Article Fifteen, "The day the enemies conquer some part of the Muslim land, jihad becomes a personal duty of every Muslim. In the face of the Jewish occupation of Palestine, it is necessary to raise the banner of jihad. This requires the propagation of Islamic consciousness among the masses, locally [in Palestine], in the Arab world and in the Islamic world. It is necessary to instill the spirit of jihad in the nation, engage the enemies and join the ranks of the jihad fighters."

This last particular portion gives us the concept by which they have revised world history, and claimed their place in it. One merely look at any series of Mesopotamian maps to see that Israel existed as a nation for well over 4,000 years in the Middle East, and that they, and other nations, existed in a "region" commonly known as "Palestine". Not a country, a region. Even after the Ottoman Empire conquered and assumed control of the region, Jews lived on in their homeland. Often persecuted and killed, they never relinquished their place on the land. "Palestine" has never been a nation, only a region in the past, and a mandate under the British Mandate of Palestine of 1920, which was approved in 1922 by the League of Nations. Any common dictionary will define a "Mandate" as, and I quote, "A commission from the League of Nations authorizing a member nation to administer a territory." "A region under such administration." "To assign (a colony or territory) to a specified nation under a mandate." So "Palestine" as a nation has never existed, yet Israel has, and in the area in which they now exist.

I might also add that the "British Mandate of Palestine" was dissolved by the successor of the League of Nations, the United Nations, and the land awarded to Israel in 1948. As a "Mandate", Palestine existed for a grand total of 28 years, while modern Israel has existed as an independent and sovereign nation for 60 years, and as a nation in history for well over 4,000 years. Now, you tell me which has the right to exist without further question, and how anyone can hope to bring peace to the Middle East as long as Islam is against it, and their leaders and militants believe they can grow in strength and public opinion. Especially if we are not among the nations of the world who will lend aid and support to Israel, or any other democracy in the area. Yet our fearful leader has decided to reduce our presence there.

Allow me to interject one small side note here, having to do with "wealth distribution". It isn't just a socialist concept, but one rooted in Islam as well. From that same Hamas Covenant, Article Twenty, "Muslim society is characterized by solidarity. The Prophet, Allah's prayer and peace be upon him, says: "Blessed are the Banu Al-Ash'ar tribe. When they are afflicted with drought - whether in a town or on a journey - they would collect all that they have and divide it among themselves in equal shares." This is the Islamic spirit that should prevail in every Muslim society."

And finally, to show how they chose to revise history to their purpose, again from Article Twenty, "A society which is facing a wicked enemy with Nazi behavior, that does not distinguish between men and women, old and young, has an even greater need to grace itself with this Islamic spirit [of solidarity]. Our enemy employs the method of collective punishment, depriving people of their homes and possessions. He pursued them [even] in their places of exile, breaking bones, shooting women, children and elderly people with or without reason. He established detention camps to imprison thousands and thousands [of people] in inhuman conditions, all this in addition to destroying houses, orphaning children and unjustly convicting thousands of young people to spend the best years of their youth in the darkness of prison. The Nazism of the Jews targeted both women and children. The terror they spread is directed at everyone. They fight people by destroying their livelihood, stealing their money and trampling their dignity. Their horrible treatment of people is like that of the worst war criminals. Deportation from one's homeland is a form of murder. In the face of such behavior, we must have social solidarity among the people, and we must face the enemy as one body, which, when one of its limbs is in pain, the rest of it reacts with sleeplessness and fever."

I find it ironic, and sickening, that they would use "Nazi" as a term to describe Jews, especially with our knowledge of WWII and the Holocaust along with their own current actions and treatment of others in war and captivity, in an effort to sway others to their way of belief. But, apparently, from the demonstrations all across the globe involving other than Muslims, it is working. And Obama, for all his rhetoric, knows these things as well. So does Hillary. Hence, all his talk of trying to bring peace to the world by withdrawing our troops from the region of the Middle East, and plans of sitting down with Islamic extremists like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, are nothing more than smoke and mirrors for the benefit of his followers, and an action that will cause us great harm in the days to come. WAKE UP, AMERICA, we have been sold a pig in a poke.
