One thing about Texans, we know how to call them
the way we see them. And our Governor is certainly no different
than most of us. He is the only politician who is actually openly
taking a stand in supporting the "Tea Parties" popping up across
this land. Oh, sure, there are those who have spoken at a few,
mostly for the votes they think they'll garner. And they include
those who actually voted for all the runaway spending in Congress
that ticked many Americans off and provided the impetus for these
demonstrations and gatherings in the first place. Here the
Governor speaks to all Texans about attending these
protests.
The following is an interview with Governor Perry
conducted by Sean Hannity, which is followed by the press
conference that prompted the interview.
One immediate question comes to mind after
watching and listening to these comments, where is the MSM? Are
any of you hearing anything on the news or TV talk shows about
the Tea Parties? Some have already been held, hundreds more will
be held over the next few days, and hundreds of thousands of
Americans are attending, so where is the coverage? I remember the
march held by illegals and their immigration supporters being
covered for a month before it actually took place, and then there
was wall to wall coverage of the event and discussions about it
for a week or so after. So why aren't we tax paying, hard working
citizens getting any press? Is it because we don't fit into their
agenda, or that of the current administration, or Congress? Trust
me, they'll be listening come election time, and they'll be
telling the same lies about the economy and taxes and how they
were behind us all the way. But what they won't remember to say
is that the whole time they were behind us, it was with a knife
stabbing us in the back!! It is critically important that we
remember how they actually voted, and what they said on the
floors of Congress come the primaries this time next year.
The next thing that amazes me is that nowhere in
the MSM is anyone talking about the thirty odd State Legislatures
that have either passed or are working on "Sovereignty Bills"
calling for an enforcement of the Tenth Amendment, and the return
of control of government to the States and the people. Perry has
it right, we are being oppressed by our own government, a
government that is supposed to protect and serve us, not the
other way around. Effectively, this is taxation without
representation, yet we are being suspected by Homeland Security
of "domestic terrorism", "subversive activity", and "right-wing
extremism" simply for speaking out against the ongoing idiocy
that permeates our legislative, executive, and judicial branches
of the Federal government? (For those of you who haven't a clue
what I'm talking about, please read this from
DHS. Remember, this has been in the making for some time now,
and has been an information collection and scenario building
exercise until recently, but Obama and Napolitano have given the
DHS a new direction, and most of us are squarely in the direction
of this "concern" by officials. Trust me, if our Founding Fathers
were alive today and conducting the same activities they did
leading up to and through the American Revolution, they would be
considered traitors and domestic terrorists!) Again, the MSM
isn't talking because it takes the glow off the bloom of their
pride and joy, and goes against their own agendas. So what will
change this trend, if anything?
