It seems our world has flipped end for end, but not
from any polar shift. No, it's from the loss of common sense and
real, mutual, unforced and honest respect. Once upon a time, this
nation was considered the greatest nation on earth, filled with
patriots and proud Americans, and a national pride that no other
country could match. While there are still those who fall into
that category, there are so many who do not. I can remember when
we, like families, could disagree on things, and have horrible
feuds and fights about those things, but no one else had better
say a word, or try to get in the middle. If they did, they would
get a sound trouncing, sometimes physically. But all that has
changed, even our Commander in Chief feels the need to criticize
our own nation, and in front of foreign crowds as well as here at
home. Private business is no longer private, it is scrutinized by
the government, dictated to by the government, and now co-owned
by the government. And there are people who don't see anything
wrong with it, even though it is socialism and in direct
opposition to the Constitution.
There are those on the left who try to make
themselves sound superior to the rest of us, and treat us like
"red-headed stepchildren". But when faced with reasonable
arguments, they explode and call us racists or bigots or any
number of other names unfit for print, or change the subject,
never answering questions placed before them. What is the most
amazing about it is, they think they've actually won the argument
with their schoolyard tactics. And when caught in the middle of a
controversy, they always attempt to, once again, change the
subject, or blame someone else. Nearly every interview with a
member of Obama's staff, or his press office, results in dodging
the question or a flat out refusal to answer questions. Had Bush
tried that, the MSM would have raked him over the coals, but with
Obama, they just smile knowingly and move on instead of raising
more questions about why they aren't getting answers in the first
place.
Most of us know about the crazy concept that DHS
was advancing that anyone who disagreed with the president, or
his policies, and attended a TEA Party or any other function in
protest of government would be considered a potential domestic
terrorist (Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political
Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and
Recruitment). The elite left made stupid jokes about the
million people who were willing to stand up and say they
disagreed with the direction we're being taken, and, of course,
the Prez claimed to know nothing about them, until he decided to
criticize those people in a speech. And with a sneer on his
face!! Is that how you want a president to act concerning your
concerns and the exercising of your rights? I've lived through 13
presidents, and this is the first time I've ever seen a president
act this way.
And on the flip side of the coin, we don't hear a
peep out of our government, or DHS, when an online magazine
addresses Jihad against this nation in a favorable light, and is
published in North Carolina!! Yes, it's true, and the magazine is
called "Jihad Recollections". So where is our DHS on this?
Apparently nowhere to be found. Strange that loyal Americans can
be determined to be potential terrorists, and Christians and Jews
can be criticized and condemned for their beliefs, yet Jihadists,
radical Muslims, traitors and treasonous activity is tolerated
without a word!!
As if that isn't bad enough, now we have a bill
passed by the House that will provide "hate crimes" protection to
pedophiles, and not our military personnel. HR 1913 states: (2) OFFENSES INVOLVING ACTUAL OR PERCEIVED RELIGION, NATIONAL
ORIGIN, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY, OR
DISABILITY-
(A) IN GENERAL- Whoever, whether or not acting under color of
law, in any circumstance described in subparagraph (B), willfully
causes bodily injury to any person or, through the use of fire, a
firearm, a dangerous weapon, or an explosive or incendiary
device, attempts to cause bodily injury to any person, because of
the actual or perceived religion, national origin, gender, sexual
orientation, gender identity, or disability of any
person--
Attempts by Republican Representatives (Congressman Steve King,
R-IA) to interject language adding an exclusion regarding
pedophiles and protecting military personnel (Congressman Tom
Rooney, R-FL) were blocked by the controlling members of the
House. Not only did the Democrats vote it down, but Congresswoman
Debbie Waasserman Schultz attacked the Republicans for even
thinking veterans might need protection under hate crimes
legislation. U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., a "hate crimes"
supporter, said: "This bill addresses our resolve to end violence
based on prejudice and to guarantee that all Americans regardless
of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual
orientation, gender identity, or disability or all of these
'Philias' and fetishes and 'ism's' that were put forward need not
live in fear because of who they are. I urge my colleagues to
vote in favor of this rule…"

Daily, said, "Pushing away an unwelcome advance of a
homosexual, transgendered, cross-dresser or exhibitionist could
make you a felon under this law. Speaking out against the
homosexual agenda could also make you a felon if you are said to
influence someone who pushes away that unwelcome advance. And
pedophiles and other sexual deviants would enjoy an elevated
level of protection while children, seniors, veterans, and
churches would not." We still have a chance to head this idiocy
off by contacting our Senators to encourage them to vote no on
this legislation unless the proper protections are included for
our military, and pedophiles are excluded from protection.
